Origin Story

Thanks for stopping by! My name is Adrian Meza. I was born and raised on Tatooine, also known to most people as El Paso, Texas.

I feel that growing up in the beautiful Chihuahuan Desert gives people an appreciation for wide open landscapes and the many hidden cultures and stories tucked inside them. I am no different, and that early cinematic perspective sparked a lifelong obsession with how imagery and sound shape the way we see the world and the stories we choose to tell.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Media Production from The University of Texas at El Paso in 2015, and since then I have been part of several creative teams at UTEP, specializing in various forms of multimedia production. Beyond my work in higher education, I regularly create multimedia for my community — from personal passion projects like my Weird Tales from El Paso podcast to regional client work that ranges from social media content and promotional videos to long form storytelling and branded media.

That same cinematic perspective also fuels Blue Lab Pro, my production space focused on turning ideas into engaging audio-visual narratives. With over 16 years of experience, I don’t just make videos. I collaborate with educators, innovators, businesses and brands to develop content that is thoughtful, engaging, and built to last.

My creativity is rooted in storytelling, pop culture, and a constant push to reach the next level, even when I am not entirely sure what that next level looks like yet.

Why Blue Lab Pro?

A “lab” is a space for experimentation and creation, where ideas are tested and problems are solved. I also love dogs, and labs are one of my favorite breeds, so the name just felt right. Add in the fact that blue is my favorite color, and that “pro” sounds a better than “productions,” and the name basically chose itself.
