Origin Story

Thanks for stopping by. My name is Adrian Meza. I was born and raised on Tatooine, also known to most people as El Paso, Texas.

Growing up in the beautiful Chihuahuan Desert of the American Southwest gave me a unique appreciation for wide-open landscapes and the many hidden cultures and stories tucked away inside them. That early cinematic perspective sparked a lifelong obsession with how imagery and sound shape the way we see the world and the stories we choose to tell.

That same cinematic perspective also fuels Blue Lab Pro, my production space focused on turning ideas into engaging audio-visual narratives. I collaborate with educators, innovators, creatives, businesses, and brands to develop content that is thoughtful, engaging, and built to last.

Over the past 16 years, I’ve moved past the early days of just shooting and editing to become a full-pipeline multimedia producer. By day, I manage national communications and digital strategy for the Alliance of Hispanic Serving Research Universities (HSRU). But by night, I work on projects that are rooted in independent, community-driven storytelling. Whether I'm working on client campaigns, building branded media, or writing a script for my local folklore podcast, Weird Tales from El Paso, the goal is always the same: build immersive media that connects with people.

My creativity is rooted in storytelling, pop culture, and a constant drive to push the technical limits of my craft.

Why Blue Lab Pro?

A “lab” is a space for experimentation and creation, where ideas are tested and problems are solved. I also love dogs, and labs are one of my favorite breeds, so the name just felt right. Add in the fact that blue is my favorite color, and that “pro” sounds better than “productions,” and the name basically chose itself.
